Register then apply online at the UCLA Graduate Division website.

Select "ACCESS" as the academic program.

Applications to ACCESS are taken through the UCLA Graduate Division. Applications are submitted via the UCLA Graduate Division's online application.

One of the final steps in the online application to UCLA Graduate Division is the supplementary application. This portion of the application will take you to the UCLA ACCESS website. An applicant account will be created on this website with the same username and password you provided to the UCLA Graduate Division.

The supplementary application obtains further information that UCLA ACCESS requests of its applicants. It also allows you to enhance your UCLA Graduate Division application by allowing you to enter the following information online:

• Statement of Purpose
• Undergraduate Major
• Email addresses of persons writing your Letters of Recommendation

Letters of Recommendation are now processed online. When filling out the online application, you will be requested to submit the email addresses of your recommenders. UCLA ACCESS then contacts your recommenders independent of you to confirm their identity then provide them with a link to an online letter of recommendation form. Paper recommendations are accepted but discouraged as they will slow down the processing of your application. If your recommender insists on writing a letter to submit by mail, a downloadable PDF will be provided in the letters of recommendation section of your online application.

Once you have submitted your application to the UCLA Graduate Division, including the application fee, you can continue to update your information here on the UCLA ACCESS website. Therefore, if you receive updated GRE scores or wish to change your contact information, you may do so here at the UCLA ACCESS website.

Furthermore, if you are invited for to an interview, you will be able to provide your itinerary and view your interview schedule through your applicant account at UCLA ACCESS.
